These guidelines apply to all content you upload on Ornamart — product photos, videos, product names, descriptions, store names, and any other text or media. Violating these guidelines may result in your listing being removed, your account being suspended, or permanent termination of your seller account.
1. Prohibited Content
1.1 Adult, Explicit, or 18+ Content
You must not upload any content that is sexually explicit, suggestive, or intended for adults only. This includes:
- Nude or semi-nude images or videos
- Sexually suggestive poses, clothing, or product placements
- Adult-themed accessories or products of a sexual nature
- Lingerie or intimate apparel listed in a sexualised or explicit manner
Ornamart is a general-audience platform. All content must be appropriate for users of all ages.
1.2 Vulgar, Offensive, or Hateful Content
You must not include content that is:
- Vulgar, abusive, or uses profanity
- Offensive, derogatory, or disrespectful toward any individual, community, religion, gender, caste, nationality, or ethnic group
- Hateful, discriminatory, or promotes violence
- Mocking or designed to harass any person or group
This applies to product names, descriptions, tags, and any text or imagery visible in your uploads.
1.3 Prohibited Products
Ornamart is a jewellery and fashion accessories marketplace. You may not list:
- Weapons, sharp objects marketed as weapons, or replicas of weapons
- Narcotics, drugs, or drug paraphernalia
- Counterfeit, fake, or replica products (e.g., fake branded jewellery marketed as genuine)
- Products that infringe on another brand's trademark, copyright, or intellectual property
- Items that are banned or restricted under applicable Indian law
- Products making unverifiable medical or health claims (e.g., "this heals diseases")
- Any non-jewellery / non-fashion-accessory items unless explicitly approved by Ornamart
1.4 Misleading Content
You must not use content that is deceptive, misleading, or false, including:
- Representing a product with images of a different, higher-quality item
- Claiming a product is made of precious metals or gemstones when it is not
- Using inflated "original prices" to fake a discount
- Using unverifiable claims like "best in the world," "certified gold," or "government approved" without legitimate certification
1.5 Spam and Irrelevant Content
- Do not list duplicate products across multiple listings to game search rankings
- Do not use irrelevant keywords in product names or descriptions to manipulate search results
- Do not upload placeholder, test, or blank listings on the live platform
2. Privacy and Personal Information
Important: Do not share personal contact details, addresses, or social media handles anywhere in your product listings, descriptions, or images. All transactions must happen within the Ornamart app.
2.1 No Contact Numbers
Do not include your mobile number, WhatsApp number, landline, or any other phone or contact number in product descriptions, names, images, videos, or any text field on the platform.
Ornamart handles all customer transactions and communication securely within the app. Sharing contact numbers encourages off-platform transactions, which removes buyer and seller protections and violates our Terms of Service.
2.2 No Personal or Business Addresses
Do not include your home address, shop address, warehouse address, or any physical location details in your product listings, descriptions, or profile text. Your pickup address is registered securely during seller verification and is only shared with our logistics partner (Delhivery) for shipment pickup — it is never visible to customers.
2.3 No Social Media Profiles or External Links
Do not include links, usernames, handles, or references to any social media accounts in your product content or profile. This includes:
- Instagram or Facebook page links or usernames (e.g.,
@yourshopname)
- YouTube channel names or links
- WhatsApp Business numbers or links
- Telegram handles or group links
- Any other external platform link or handle
Driving customers off-platform is a violation of our Terms of Service. All transactions must happen within the app to ensure both you and your customers are protected.
2.4 No Other Personal Information
Do not include in listings or images: government ID numbers (Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN), bank account numbers or UPI IDs, email addresses for direct customer contact, or names and contact details of employees or staff.
3. Image and Video Standards
3.1 What Your Images Must Show
- The actual product you are selling, in full
- All angles where applicable (front, back, detail shots)
- Accurate colours — avoid heavy filters that misrepresent the product's true appearance
3.2 What Your Images Must Not Contain
- Personal contact numbers, addresses, social media handles, or watermarks with off-platform identifiers
- Stock photos that are not of your actual product
- Blurry, dark, or otherwise unusable images (minimum 3 clear images are required)
- Any prohibited content listed in Section 1 above
- Competitor brand logos or references
3.3 Video Standards
- Videos must be of the actual product
- Maximum 2 minutes per video
- Must not contain promotional content redirecting customers to external platforms
- Same content restrictions as images apply
4. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you upload to Ornamart. By listing a product, you confirm that:
- You have the right to sell the product
- The content does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights
- The content complies with all applicable Indian laws
- The content meets these guidelines
Ornamart reserves the right to remove any listing or account that violates these guidelines, with or without prior notice, at its sole discretion.

Ornamart may update these guidelines as the platform grows. You will be notified of significant changes via the app. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
